About

In this ever-evolving world of telehealth, I am beyond excited to offer clients convenient online counseling sessions. I graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Social Work in 2012 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I have worked in many diverse settings since—from addictions to child mental health to couples therapy. I’ve guided thousands of clients in their struggles with depression, postpartum depression, parenting stressors, premarital couples counseling, marriage counseling, affair healing, life transitions, college life stressors, anxiety, and academic stressors. I exude an unmatched passion for counseling adults of all ages in various stages of life. I strive to instill empowerment, compassion, trust and stability in all of my therapeutic relationships.

Upon graduating, I felt a growing passion for relationship work in particular. Sitting alongside individuals, couples, and families has been extremely rewarding. The complex dynamics and often intense energy within the context of human relationships have continued to invigorate me. I come from a background strongly influenced by the Attachment Theory, however, my style is very eclectic and varies tremendously for a personalized treatment plan.

I actively work alongside my clients helping them establish a safe and satisfying connection with their partner where a myriad of feelings such as resentment, vulnerability, inadequacy, abandonment or rejection may be inhibiting their relational happiness. I encourage clients to take risks reaching beyond personal fears and relationship traumas, and move toward their emotions rather than away from them. My warmth has proven to offer comfort, support and hope while guiding my clients in the direction of higher self-awareness and autonomy. My strengths-based approach often sparks curiosity and insightfulness ultimately shifting clients from emotional insecurity towards a deep bond developed on a framework of mutual respect. We all have bruises, some more severe than others. Nonetheless, our hearts are more resilient because of those wounds.

I am a social worker at heart, meaning I have an innate love for the imperfections of human beings. I welcome clients of ALL walks of life; any person no matter their gender, sexual orientation, or race. It takes genuine strength to reach out for help despite the stigmas of mental health, and I assure you I am here to help you navigate life’s hurdles without judgement. I am thrilled you found Resilient Hearts Counseling and can’t wait to hear about the unique twists and turns your life has taken, and ultimately what led you to me. After all, it’s not about “what’s wrong with you,” it’s about what happened to you.
