How It Works

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Michigan (#6801095172) and reside in Colorado. Although many of my clients are from Michigan, my licensing board allows me to see clients in most other states as well for tele-therapy. I love that tele-therapy helps me reach a greater variety of people! Tele-therapy is also extremely convenient for clients and many prefer it over in-person counseling sessions.

I offer counseling via video conferencing, phone calls, or email. However, email counseling is very limited. I do not offer text counseling at this time. A typical session usually lasts 1 hour. I work out of a home office and do not have a physical business address, so all of my communications with clients from initial inquiries to scheduling appointments clinical forms to completing sessions to payments are all done through electronic communications. For video sessions, I have all the necessary software so it is not necessary for you to download any additional software for those sessions. For phone counseling I will call whatever preferred number you provide me and we can talk while you are curled up on a cozy chair or out for a walk. For email counseling I can email any email address you prefer, but highly recommend getting a ProtonMail account (it’s free!), as it offers the highest level of security being HIPAA compliant, secure, and encrypted.

If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to email or call me and I’d be happy to clarify anything you are curious or concerned about. If you do decide to you’d like to book a session with me see the “Schedule Appointment” tab and it will direct you to my Square Appointments page. If you don’t see a time that works for you, please email me— I may have some flexibility otherwise. Once you schedule an appointment, I will send you all of the necessary paperwork (via email) needed for services. You will get a reminder of your appointment one day prior to the session. And then from the first session on, hopefully you will fall in love with the therapy process! There is truly nothing like it, especially if you find a therapist you really connect with!
